The majority of the hymns and songs featured, except where otherwise stated, were recorded of the congregational singing at Lansdowne Baptist Church in Bournemouth, UK, in 1981 and 1982. Many of the hymns on this page are no longer familiar to the younger generation, but have words and melodies that are treasured memories to many of us.
Also many years ago, two LP albums were made of the piano and organ music that featured as part of the worship services at Lansdowne. The albums were titled: Music from Lansdowne, Volumes 1 and 2. Volume 2 was later reissued under the title Instrumental Praise. Requests have been made that some of those selections might be added on this page as listed below. Each medley consists of songs and hymns on the theme of the title song. We pray that they will be a blessing. The organist on the two LPs is the late Norman Good, who had also served as the organist during Francis Dixon’s ministry at Lansdowne and is fondly remembered by many. Pianist is June K.
